Heidi is growing up so fast. I notice it even more when she plays pretend with her baby doll and her pull around puppy. She loves to stop and come over to tell me what her and baby are doing or her puppy. She also corrects me very quickly when I misunderstand her. Hand is waved in the air in front of my face with a "no, no mommy......" Brian and I just love watching her play and what she says to her animals or other toys. Yesturday when she was playing with her baby doll, this was some of her conversation:
"ok, baby. Time for a nap. Sleep in your crib and here is your pacifier."
(Heidi walks to the crib to place baby in, and that's when she trips with baby in her arms and falls on the floor.)
"oh no! Baby, are you ok? Oh good. You ok. Time for a nap."
"Mommy, I tripped and baby cry."
(now Heidi goes and gets another item to play with while baby 'naps'. Heidi throws up the toys and makes a crying sound.)
"waaaa, waaa. Oh no. Baby cry. Mommy, where is baby's pacifer?"
"Oh there it is. All better."
"Night baby."
Here is Heidi's conversation with her pull along puppy while outside:
"puppy, you want treat?"
"Ok puppy. Sit. Staaaayyyy. Good puppy. Here's treat." (heidi makes pretend munching sounds for puppy)
"Puppy, you want to walk to the sprinkler?"
(She takes her puppy to sprinkler for awhile and comes back)
"Mommy, Puppy and me get wet!"
"Puppy want another treat? Ok. Here you go puppy."
"Ouch! Puppy bit me."
"I ok puppy, here's another treat."
"Staaaay, sit. Good puppy."
"Come on puppy, go to Apple tree!" "Yaaaay!"
I love to restore old vintage items I find at auctions, flea markets, Junkfest's, and even in thirft stores.

My new Project.
I can not wait to get this old rocking chair finished. I picked it up last fall and I haven't had the chance to work on it or it's just been pushed aside. I finally started to sanding it some more so I can get it stained and then I can go fabric shopping for the seat cushion and back cushion rest. There was no seat that came with it, as it is in a little rough shape. But I have a few ideas of how to make one. I am not sure what kind of fabric to use yet, but there's a awesome fabric store in town that carries lots of kids vintage style designs and I think that would be fun to use on it. I see our future kids romping on it anyway. I think it would look so cute in a kids room, or game room.
Keeping the garden alive.
Pea's needed something to climb so I used an old plastic hanging shelf taken apart and it works great!
Tomato plant was a little seedling now he's huge. He looks a little sad here, but he was transplanted. So he's coming back slowly. Used more of the old hanging shelf to help this tomato plant also.
Hot pepper seedling still going strong in this heat.
Snake gourds getting better.
Cucumbers.
Tomato's.
My fresh herbs from seeds this year. YAY! Anyone in need of some basil, chives, thyme, Cilantro, or parsley? I think they are going to be a good harvest to dry and preserve. FUN, FUN!

Learning is Fun.
Heidi and I have been practicing her ABC's and she's doing alright. She sure loves the letter W. It seems to be her favorite one. Or it's just fun to say. I should teach her how to say it in french, then it's even more fun to say the letter W. ;) I have been trying to find a creative way to teach her about the alphabet and she really loves to learn them through her Alphabet Cheez nips. It's fun to eat letters I guess. So during snack time she has to find the letters and tell me which one she has. If she guesses correct, she eats it. If she guesses wrong, she puts it back and finds a new one. Sounds mean not to let her eat it, but she loves the game. Sometimes she sneaks a few and runs off with them. Silly girl. With Heidi's letter W craze, she said "look mommy! I found W!" I looked and it was mearly a letter M upside down. What was I suppose to say? Well close enough. "yep, honey, you got it. Good job." "Yaaaaay! Thank you mommy!" "YUM! Letter W Yummy."

Adventures of Heidi, Chocolate and Daisy.
Heidi takes Chocolate and Daisy everywhere with us. So I made a book off of shutterfly for her. I brought my camera with us when we had to go to the store or just anywhere else. So the book is titled "The Adventures of Heidi, Chocolate, and Daisy." I just got it in the mail and I love how it turned out. It's so cute. I can't wait to share it. I was even taking pictures of her best buds at the grocery store and some people probably thought I was nuts or just wierd. I really didn't care. It was fun and I couldn't wait to start on it. It's going to be a nice momento for her to keep about her and her best friends and the adventures they have gone on.

Going Green. Green Thumb that is.
Heidi planting her evergreen she got on earth day.
Heidi's worm pot she lovingly calls "George."
My herb garden has Lavender, Rosemary, Chives, Thyme, Basil, and Parsley.
My Oak tree taking it's sweet time to grow.
The start of this year's "green thumb" test. Brian and I just planted a nice herb garden for our front patio. I'm hoping it does well and we get lots of herbs to dry or freeze for over the winter. Heidi is loving the gardening stuff since I just started to introduce her to it a few days ago. We went to the store to get some seeds and Heidi spotted a cute worm flower pot and the look in her eyes told me I must get this and she can take care of her own flower garden. She already has the watering can so why not? Then she got to pick out her own flowers to put in the pot. She LOVES my pansy's at home and she saw some pansy seed packets, so that's what she went for. I think they will look very nice in that worm pot. ;) I also got some cat nip seeds. LOL! Now the cat's will have thier own garden to munch on! Spoiled much in this house? Naaawwww. I hope this summer will be just as fun as it's starting out to be.
